Day 18

Read: Ephesians 2:1-10

Key Verses: Eph 2:6

Thoughts: Here is the second thing we see in verse 6: the word TOGETHER. God raised us up together and seated us together for a reason. Unity is essential for worship. If you don’t like the people God has sat you with, you need to ask the questions, “Why has God put me with these people?” I bet you will find you still have a lot of learning and growing to do!

Have you protected the UNITY of the people you worship with? Is it possible that your worship is being stifled by unforgiveness, bitterness, or simple unresolved frustrations with someone? What can you do right now to fix that?

Quote: “Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same [tuning] fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshippers met together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be were they to become “unity” conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship.” – A. W. Tozer

Prayer: God, please forgive me for not protecting the togetherness of those I worship with. Help me to do whatever it takes on my part, as much as I am able, to repair those relationships. Please lead me into radical, intimate encounters with You this week!
