Thought: The first thing that presents itself as their conversation turns toward the subject of worship is the Samaritan woman’s excuse to NOT worship. She was blaming the bad theology of the Jews. Jesus, of course, dismisses her excuse, reminding her that no excuse is bigger than the fact that God deserves our worship!

Prayer: God, please expose in me any excuse that is keeping me from worshiping you as fully and deeply as you deserve. Forgive me for putting any frustration or confusion above the reality that you deserve my worship. Please lead me into radical, intimate encounters with You this week!
